The Polyscias, also known as Aralia, are native to Pacific islands. There are as many as more than 100 species of the Polyscias, all with their own characteristics. A Polyscias is a characteristic tree that likes to be in a shady spot and needs little water. Polyscias literally means "a lot of shade" in Greek. This houseplant has the characteristic of growing leaves all over the branch. Leaves of a Polyscias are green, white or yellow and have a round or heart-shaped appearance. This plant likes to be in a place with some shade.
